Is this a series?
Yes. The Veiled Blood is Book 1 of The Veiled series. Each book follows Karlie's journey, and the series has an overarching plot. Book 1 ends on a satisfying arc with no cliffhanger.
What's the spice level?
Five out of five. There is explicit sexual content. If you like your vampire romance with heat, this is for you.
What are the content warnings?
Explicit sexual content, violence, blood, vampire bites, death of a parent (past, referenced throughout), themes of control and manipulation, grief and loss, financial precarity. Intended for readers 18+.
Is there a love triangle?
It's complicated. Book 1 centers on Karlie and Kai, with Julian Marsh entering as a second potential love interest. The triangle activates across the series. If you're asking who she ends up with: you'll have to read and find out.
Do I need to read the books in order?
Yes. The series is meant to be read in order. Events, character development, and political intrigue build from book to book.

Very real. The Mill District, the Skyway system, Stone Arch Bridge, Summit Avenue, Nicollet Mall, The North Loop... all real places. I just added vampires.
